OUR COMMITMENT
Sapience (ICENSE BV) is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful and discrimination-free environment for its employees, research participants, clients and partners.
All employees are required to uphold the organisation’s values and demonstrate behaviours that promote dignity, respect, and inclusion, contributing to a working environment in which everyone feels valued, respected, and included.
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or unequal treatment based on sex, gender identity or expression, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability, health condition, religion, socioeconomic background or other characteristics protected under applicable legislation.
This policy applies to all employees, management and external professionals working on behalf of Sapience.
OUR PRACTICES
We translate our commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion into practical measures:
- Fair employment practices: We use inclusive language in job advertisements and ensure that all employment decisions (including recruitment, hiring, training, remuneration, professional development, and promotion), are based on objective, fair, job-related criteria.
- Inclusive communication: We encourage respectful, gender-inclusive language and the use of individuals' preferred names and pronouns. Employees may voluntarily include their pronouns in their email signatures.
- Accessibility and flexibility: We consider individual accessibility needs and provide reasonable accommodations, including adjustments to working arrangements where appropriate.
- Inclusive research: We use respectful questionnaire wording, protect participants' privacy, allow respondents to decline sensitive questions and consider alternative participation methods where feasible.
- Diversity and balanced representation: We aim to have a diverse and balanced workforce in terms of gender, ethnicity, and other aspects of diversity. We promote equal opportunities for all and work to identify and remove barriers to inclusion.
REPORTING CONCERNS
Employees, contractors and research participants can raise concerns about discrimination or inappropriate behaviour with Sapience's management.
All concerns will be reviewed fairly and handled confidentially to the extent possible. Retaliation against individuals raising concerns in good faith will not be tolerated. Appropriate corrective measures will be taken where necessary.
RESPONSIBILITY AND REVIEW
Sapience's management is responsible for implementing this policy, communicating it to the team and reviewing it annually.
